Join Augusta, GA-based landscape design expert and Dream Yards host Jane Waldrop as she meets with Andy and Courtney Herda at their beautiful French country home.

The Herdas had a hand in personally designing their outdoor living space. The couple’s goal was to create an environment that reflected them as a family, and how they and their two children wanted to enjoy time outdoors. For Courtney, a pool and edible garden topped her list. And for her husband Andy, a water garden, back porch sitting area, complementary flowers, and an immaculate lawn were what he dreamed of.

With the help of Ian Dovan and his landscape team at Seeds of Change, the Herdas were able to realize the dream yard they’d always wanted. The end result was a cohesive backyard that set the stage for moments of both family togetherness and independence. This was accomplished with a back porch fireplace and adjacent water garden that parents and adults can now gather by. And, what about the kids? Well, now they’re able to enjoy what most every kid does: A large pool and play set!
