Whether on his show or in person, Mike loves providing rural homesteading pointers. The Outdoors with the Morgans YouTube Channel, which has over 270,000 subscribers, is a great destination to learn how to properly operate an array of heavy equipment. If you spend much time on their channel, you’ll quickly find out that firewood is a big part of the Morgan family as he enthusiastically shares his passion for wood cutting and milling, and all things outdoors. Mike’s committed to helping others maximize the use and enjoyment of their open spaces and rural lifestyle.
Mike’s infatuation with heavy equipment—from chainsaws and tractors to excavators and oversized dozers—began at an early age. Dubbed “Dynamike” by friends for the three decades he spent on a wide range of utility and transportation blasting projects, Mike currently directs contractors on road and well-pad construction in the oil and gas industry.
Mike and his wife of 30 years, Melissa, call western Pennsylvania home. And, they have been blessed with four children and one grandchild. Their oldest son, Hunter, is both autistic and non-verbal, and has inspired Melissa to advocate tirelessly for others facing these and other disabilities.
When he’s not working, Mike can usually be found . . . well, working more! In his words, “It’s simply what I love to do!”
